Flickr

Here's a fun time-line:

Back in Oct of '08, I wrote a post called Flickr + Google = Naughty detailing some weird, naughty behavior from Google's search results. Essentially, the results for "Flickr" came up with a sub-menu with the word "Search" linking to a Flickr search for "upskirt".

The first comment questioned my love of porn.

Picture this: One day in January, I'm strolling through my local Ikea and I come upon the kitchen department. There's a row of kitchen sinks and above them, a row of faucets, each with a label at its base reading "Try Me."

One faucet, however, is missing and I find the idea of a hole labeled "Try Me" to be hilarious so I snap a quick picture and upload it to Flickr. By the time I get home, DAVE ID has added a note to the Flickr page "Glory Hole?". So I change the title of the pic to "Ikea Glory Hole."

Haha, funny joke and we move on.

But sometime last month I notice that the pic is getting a decent amount of hits. I looked up the referrer and find that Wikipedia is sending traffic my way. ...Continue Reading
