Anniversary Kitten Fight Club

Today I'm experimenting with a new "more paragraphy" format for my Friday links. Your sarcastic feedback is always appreciated.

Exactly one year ago was my very first Thursday Caption Contest! A fine selection for my first time, no? I just noticed that there were 26 comments on the first contest which means that either you guys are currently slacking, burning out or have eaten off most of your own fingers.

Only one day before that was my very first "What Is It?" post. Spoiler alert: the answer comes up pretty quick in the comments section. I've done a few since and I'll probably do a few in the future. Does giving away my home address count as a prize?

My "Things You Could Do With 184 Kittens" has a back-story and requires an explanation but I just don't care enough to explain. It still stands up well as a collection of the internet's most viral kitten links. I still especially enjoy the Kitten Huffing link.

Two years ago I came across a pretty sweet collection of Denace the Menace Fight Club mash-ups.

Oh gawd, those Dennis the Menace Fight Club cartoons rock. G4 has been playing Fight Club like every day this week but its just not the same on cable. Side note: every time I listen to NPR and they're talking about that one finance dude, Henry Paulson, I start repeating in my head "His name is Henry Paulson. His name is Henry Paulson." (Fight Club fans will get that. Everyone else will just think I'm nuts but that's nothing new.) And the 184 things to do with kittens reminds me of another movie....Forrest Gump. Ya know, the scene where he's going on about all of the things you can do with shrimp. "Kitten gumbo....grilled kitten...lemon kitten...kitten fondue..." I actually have my own little list started. I add to it every time Roxy climbs up my living room curtains or tears apart the toilet paper. I don't know if I could be swayed or motivated by the promise of acquiring your home address. I mean, I still have your phone number from my old stalker days and I'm sure I could easily figure out your home address from that. And this has nothing to do with your post but you see that ad for Apocalypse Girls on your Project Wonderful ad space? I'm thinking about adding some streaks like that (same color but not the same placement) to my hair. Whaddaya think? The only thing that's holding me back is a) I don't do derby anymore and b) I'm pushing 40 and about to be a grandmother. In other words, I really have no reason to do it other than "But I wanna!"

I've been watching Fight Club all week too. G4 is my default station for background noise during lunch and NO, it's definitely not the same on cable. It's like "You're not your _______ khakis."

Your stalker days are over? Damn. I need to be more proactive with retaining my stalkers.

Do some streaks! It's not like they're permanent. Think of it in Fight Club terms "I’m keeping your license. I’m gonna check in on you. I know where you live. If you’re not on your way to ~~becoming a veterinarian~~ having streaks in ~~six weeks~~ 7 days, you’re going to be ~~dead~~ marked as "lame" in my book. Run on." And we expect pictures...
