I was reading The Register this morning when I came across the article " Microsoft unleashes improved Firefox". Say what??

The open source community is in a state of shock this morning at the news that Microsoft has released a version of popular browser Firefox.

I have to admit that I just started to skim the article - my brain reeling. Why would Microsoft release a version of their competitor's software? Sure, Firefox is open source but is this legal? As the MSFirefox page slowly loaded, I began to scrutinize. Page loads slow. Code not so tight. Ok, I don't remember Windows' slogan being "Where am I today?". So it seems that I've been momentarily duped. I guess The Register was in on the joke now that I go back and read the actual article (without seeing red like any Firefox fan would).
