Twitter? I Barely Even Know Her!

Do you use Twitter?
 
I started using it back in Jan. 07. I obsessed for a few weeks, lost interest, switched to Pownce and then dropped it almost completely but the last few weeks I've picked it up again.
 
Why the renewed interest? This time around I'm more comfortable with the social aspects, I've got more people who I'm genuinely interested in following and I can see the passive marketing potential.

We all know that I'm an attention whore so feel free to follow me and of course I'll follow you back (unless I'm feeling undeservingly superior that day).

Yeah, I know it was me who reminded you about SomeEcards with my post last week. I rule; no need to bow down. So who really wants to know all the mundane shit? When someone posts 15 twits(literally) in about 3 mins, they're blocked. That's way too annoying for me. Also, I've had people follow me, so of course I follow back, only to find a day later they dropped me, but I'm still being barraged with their stupid ponderings. Other than that Twitter is great.

Hey Jason, thanks for posting this. I'm fairly new to Twitter and being naturally blonde, figured maybe I was just DENSE in determining Twitter's purpose and value in life! Glad to note that you're NOT blonde, and it took YOU awhile, too! =) (Joking around, of course!) Planning to check out the links you've posted here. Thanks again!

Wow! I am finally seeing the point to Twitter! I really need something like this to promote my blog but I never really saw the point. I'm trying again. Thanks.

I use that twitter feed thingie that automatically posts my latest blog posts and I actually get quite a few hits to blog from that. Also if i am bored/drunk I like everyone else to know it :)

Sure you reminded me about SomeEcards but so did the fact that they're a featured Twitterer and then there's the fact that I blogged about them back in June of last year. Booyah.
Yeah there's some people who go bonkers with the posting and I drop them too - I tend to enjoy friending people at my involvement level or below.  The only people I don't friend back right away are those who are following like 5000 people. That doesn't make me feel special.

I'm blond on the inside.  :)  I think everybody should try it out for a week or two and see if it's something that they enjoy or if it's something that may have marketing value. Check out Twitterfeed.com !

I have the need to share my boredom/drunkenness too. The fact that I can TXT message Twitter, upload pics to Flickr and videos to YouTube from my phone is going to get me in trouble one day. Luckily the drunker I am, the more likely I am to forget about these conveniences :)

Yay! I think you're the only person ever who's used Pownce before Twitter! Note: I don't see your notes until I "follow" you (which I am now).
