Deliver Us From Evil Trailer

For some there's no such thing as salvation.

Moving from one parish to another in Northern California during the 1970s, Father Oliver O'Grady quickly won each congregation's trust and respect. Unbeknownst to them, O'Grady was a dangerously active pedophile that Church hierarchy, aware of his predilection, had harbored for over 30 years, allowing him to abuse countless children. Juxtaposing an extended, deeply unsettling interview with O'Grady himself with the tragic stories of his victims, filmmaker Amy Berg bravely exposes the deep corruption of the Catholic Church and the troubled mind of the man they sheltered.

Paula the Surf Mom This is an all too familiar sounding story Jason and any one who uses their position of trust to hurt children... I don't care if they are clergy, lay blind, crippled or crazy... they should be set away for the rest of their life. God forbid anyone would do anything to one of my girls, but if they did... well... I have this 12 gauge shotgun in my closet and I know a very good lawyer so I hope for their sake the law got to them before I did... and Paula the Surf Mom has spoken.

Just trying to imagine how I would handle dealing with such a thing if I had been one of those young girls that you see in the clip... I can't even imagine. Aside from wanting the throw up I don't think I would be able to trust anyone ever again. Oddly enough (or maybe not so oddly), this is the 2nd year in a row that these issues have been brought into focus and headlined at the most liturgically important time of the year for the church. I'm not Catholic but I feel the pain and embarrassment this must cause the innocent members of that faith.
